Movement is the name of the game, and Phantom Abyss Gameplay Whip Again can drastically extend your air time and vertical distance. With quick enough reflexes, should your first grapple fail to help you reach a safe platform, Whip Again can give you a second chance to avoid falling into the abyss.
If you are using lightning or ice whip, you can probably stay ahead a good bit longer, but it is still a very fast guardian.
In Phantom Abyss, you compete with other players around the world to steal an idol from a temple filled with tough jumps, booby traps, and hidden keys.

It may help you tackle some vertical challenges, navigate tall rooms, and reach ceiling treasure chambers, but those rooms are few and far-between compared to the more "horizontal" challenges, and all of these can still be easily cleared with your whip and any of the movement blessings above.
The competitive multiplayer aspects come from challenging either friends or other players to recover dropped significant loot, such as keys or relics. The big deal with Phantom Abyss is that the levels are randomized, with the idea that a temple exists until someone claims the relic at its center.
One of the game’s highlights is how it cleverly bakes a sense of community into its design through the implementation of phantoms – ghosts of other players who came before you and were bested by the temple. Beyond merely providing a glimpse of where others died, these phantoms are both an assistance and a hindrance, as they activate the many proximity-based traps in each temple.
